Here are some interesting facts:
People of the Jewish tradition pray 3 times a day and Muslims pray to allah 5 times. What’s amazing, is what 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says.
pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17
We as Christians are called to an intimate relationship with God. We don’t serve some distant, impersonal being, we serve the one and only Living God! He desires that we know Him.
Jesus came to bridge the gap between us and God. Therefore we should pray continually. Failure to pray is a failure to treat God as God.
When we look at the Gospels, we see that Jesus prayed in all situations. There was never a time where Jesus failed to pray. In 1 Samuel 30:1-6, when David returned to his home and his wives have been captured and his men began to turn on him, David found strength in the Lord. Then he proceeded to seek guidance from God. In all we do, we should pray continually. Christ should always be at the forefront of our mind.
I challenge you today and for days to come to pray in every situation you’re presented with. I challenge you to deepen your relationship with God.
