Everywhere you look you can see a reflection of scripture. Whether that is someone saying scripture or scripture being printed. So often we hear scripture but what do we do with that? Reading or hearing Scripture is just the beginning of walking out our faith.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

Here, James tells us not only to listen to the Word but to do what it says, to walk out what is in Scripture. If we just read scripture and do nothing with it, then we’re deceiving ourselves. To listen to the word and not do what it says is to not walk out the faith we proclaim we have. God has called us to something greater. That something greater is what we find in the Word.

I encourage you as you go about your day to not just listen to the Word but to walk it out. When you begin to walk it out, you will see a change in you and a change in your relationship with God.
